Inventory of things that happened over the holidays

• 1x unit flooded: ice maker supply hose got cut because of friction with a vibrating AC, then flooded the unit. $2,200 to repair and clean up.
• 1x water in unit (again, same unit): Turns out, a guest peed themselves after a night of binge drinking, and wanted to blame water intrusion.
• 1x HVAC broken heating: turns out the wiring for the thermostat was wrong. Fixed for a small fee.
• 1x broken toilet bowl: turns out it was “just” a toilet seat. Whew! Replaced.
• 1x propane stove pilot light snuffed out: still no idea why. Restarted the pilot light with success, though. Need to make a video that shows how to do it so that I don’t need to guide anyone over the phone.
• 1x microwave not working: It was a tripped breaker.

It’s not over yet. We will see.

Update Jan 9, 2024: The holiday season ends with a tornado no less. Properties still stand, with minor damage. Not everyone was as lucky. Our properties have been repaired since.
